Announcements

• Alumni Meet VII took place on Saturday, August 27! The NMHS cross country team prevailed in both the men's and women's races by scores of 21-36 and 25-34 respectively. Noah Falck won his second straight Alumni Meet with a finishing time of 12:15, and Alex Cardenas won her first Alumni Meet and set a new meet record with a time of 14:01. • CXC4L is proud to announce that Steve Nava, current NMHS senior and new CXC4L member, will be our second CXC4L intern! Steve will be the primary liaison between the CXC4L Board of Directors and the current NMHS team for the 2011-2012 school year.
• Travis Turner, CXC4L Board member, was the fastest Newark runner at the 100th annual Bay to Breakers 12K that took place Sunday, May 15. Travis completed the race in 47:25, earning him 63rd place out of 3,029 finishers in the Male 20-29 division, and 220th overall out of the 43,414 total finishers.

  CXC4L Board member Chris Chandler and CXC4L member Eddie Ruiz also competed in this year's Bay to Breakers, finishing in 57:23 and 1:07:06, respectively.
